Vigilante Moron

Here's my version of an actual Craigslist post.

The actual post:

I read that some lady nabbed a sexual predator on a chat room online. Well I want to do the same thing but I need some help. If you want to help me let me know.
I want to talk to these sexual predators online, from what I hear from my niece, they'll find you in the AOL chat rooms. Then I want to start a email relatinship and wait for him to try to meet me. Then I will try to illicit as much info as possible. When we meet, he meets me. Except I know his work and wife/g/f, family info. Then instead of calling cops, I blackmail him for money.
Anybody want to help? I doubt I'll get in trouble. Who's going to report me? I want someone to help me search the chat rooms, I'll make the confrontation, and we'll split the money.
Anybody interested?

My version:

I want to become a crime fighting vigilante superhero. Can you help me? Child molesters are bad. I want to fight them, but I need help from a total stranger. Are you that total stranger?
It's totally illegal, and we could get arrested. But who would dare turn us in? Although, instead of turning us in to the police, our target may just decide to kill us. Sound like a plan? Are you in? E-mail me if you'd like to be arrested while putting your life in danger based on a stupid Craigslist post.

  1. What if the ad is answered by a sexual predator? And they just want to find this person so they can kill them before they get a chance to “ruin things for everyone.”

  2. No doubt, Maine. The person who posted that is just asking for trouble.

Yeah, Eddie. A weirdo ad sparked by a really bad idea.

  3. Only on Craigslist.

  4. That’s right, Mimi. You never know what you’ll find.

  5. HAHA…you’re so silly…

Yep, Mimi’s right, only on craiglist
