I Got Tagged Again
Jun. 10, 2005 by Jason
This time, I’m blaming Jackie.
Let’s get started.
- Total Number of Films Owned: Probably a hundred or so. A couple dozen were freebies supplied by Ev.
- Last Film Bought: I’m assuming The White Stripes: Under Blackpool Lights and Aqua Teen Hunger Force Volume Three don’t count. Um… Melvin Goes to Dinner was probably the last film I bought. Nearly the entire movie is just a few people having a conversation over dinner. But it’s hilarious. Bob Odenkirk from Mr. Show directed it. And Jack Black and David Cross are in it (cameos). Add it to your Netflix list. Do it.
- Last Film Watched: Meet the Fockers. It focking socked. Do not add it to your Netflix list. Seriously.
- Five Favorite Films That I Watch Frequently or That Mean A Lot To Me: I’m not gonna fuck around here. No Citizen Cane or Casablanca. These are the movies I’ve seen repeatedly and still enjoy:
- Billy Madison - I don’t care what you say, this is the best Adam Sandler movie. Better than Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, even better than Punch Drunk Love or Spanglish.
- Return of the Living Dead - I know a lot of you will think I’m retarded for listing this one, but I can’t help it - I’m a zombie movie fan. And this isn’t just some standard horror movie. This one has zombie punks, drinking, drugs, and a full-nude punk rock stripper scene in a cemetery.
- A Clockwork Orange - Now, this movie is demented. Brutal violence, rape, torture - and the main characters laugh theur asses off the whole time.
- Memento - I had to watch this one a few times before it made complete sense. Every time I watch it, I notice something new. Remember Sammy Jankis?
- Fletch - Can I borrow your towel? My car just hit a water buffalo.
Okay. That’s enough of that.
So, now I’m supposed to tag other people. If you’re listed below, copy the questions and answer them on your blog. Tag others if you so choose.

That’s okay. I won’t remember anyway.

Best movie ever.

There’ll be no more picking on Dim.
Part of the new way, brother.
June 10th, 2005
New way? What’s this about a new way?
There’s been some very large talk behind
my sleeping back, I know it.

I did this one too. No one (except you
ever tags me, for whatever reason I just opt to do theme when I find them. I love memes. But, in general I never have any answers in common with the blogger I found the meme from.

I agree with you about Meet the Fockers sucking the bone. Unfortunately it already cycled to the top of our Netflix list. What were any of them thinking? And, what were we thinking by renting it? Ugh. It was terribly uncomfortable to watch Dustin and Barbra in the whipped cream scene.
Memento is such a neat idea for a movie. The ending doesn’t do it justice, although probably the only fitting one.

The thing that bothers me the most about the Fockers is that the movie made a shitload of money. What a waste.
June 12th, 2005
always knew you were into a bit of the ultra-violence…

Thanks for playing along, JJ. I have to admit, I have about as much love for that business as I do for chain e-mail letters, but in this medium I decided to go ahead and play along.
By the way, I thought Memento sucked, and I will not be watching it again to figure it out. Great call on Clockwork Orange — a little bit of the ole in and out.

You know it, Trav.
C’mon now, Jackie. You gotta give Memento another chance. On the special edition DVD, there’s a feature that allows you to watch the film in chronological order. Pretty badass.
June 15th, 2005
That does sound badass, JJ. Maybe I’ll give it a check. Good looking.

In Zeiten von massenhaft Websitenmüll im Internet eine sehr gut aufgebaute Website, nicht überdimensioniertes Design und sehr gut recher-schierte Hintergrundinformationen.

I completey agree. Well said.
