Matt Walsh, a basketball player from my alma mater, Florida, got dissed.

Walsh decided not to return to the Gators for his senior season, instead opting to enter the NBA draft. Guess what… He didn’t get picked. Because he entered the draft, he’s no longer eligible to play college basketball. Here’s what Jay Bilas from ESPN had to say:
“I don’t know who told Matt Walsh that he was going to be a first-round pick, but whoever told him that was an idiot.”

He’s actually better off going undrafted than he would have been if he was drafted in the 2nd round. He’s not guaranteed money either way, but at least now he’s able to apply for work on any team he might fit instead of just the team that drafted him.
But, hey, at least he’s still got a great head of hair.
