Toora Loora Toora Loo Rye Aye

I am totally buying this shirt today:
After seeing this shirt, the song’s lyrics make perfect sense.
Come on Eileen, well I swear (what he means)
At this moment, you mean everything
With you in that dress my thoughts I confess
Verge on dirty
Ah come on Eileen
The whole time, dude was singing about jizzing on a chick’s dress.

I think in this day in age, you HAVE to come on Eileen. I mean, can we really afford not to? Incidently, all women shall now be named Eileen.

Having worked with a woman named Eileen, that’s an old joke to me. We used to say that was her husband’s favorite song and that’s why she had four kids.
I will now have “Toora Loora…” etc in my head all day. Thanks JJ. Now I need to buy that shirt for Eileen’s husband.

Ev:
I second that motion.
Cindy:
Yeah, it’s stuck in my head too. What a great song, though. At least it’s not like having Mmm Bop stuck in your head. Uh oh…

LOL….it was a great song…and still is. Heard it on the radio the other day

I know exactly what you mean. I never thought anything of those lyrics before I saw that t-shirt, but now I always chuckle when I hear that song.

Christa:
I’ve been humming it all day. I love that song.
TS:
It’s pretty disturbing. Same thing happened when I found out the meaning behind Angel is the Centerfold.

OMG Where have I been all these years. LOL What the hell is the meaning behind Angel is the Centerfold? Um never mind. I just got a visual that may explain it.

Hahaha!
The guy was in love with some girl in high school, then they parted ways. Years later, he picked up a dirty magazine and there she was, totally naked. He falls for her all over again and dreams that they might meet again, and this time she’ll have her clothes on (so he can rip them off).

Oh! Well I knew THAT! LMAO I just figured the way things normally go around this joint it had a “deeper” meaning.
October 28th, 2005
Yeah, I figured you knew that.
Somehow, I always thought the song was just about some dude who thought the magazine centerfold was hot. I never listened closely enough to realize he knew her.

Oh man… I love that shirt. Damn it, and I already blew my t-shirt budget for this month.

I was looking this up one because I was going to use it in response to classmate’s essay on the IRA and female Irish revolutionaries and two because I love this song of which I did not know any of the lyrics except the chorus. The cresendo of the song does it for me. I got that he was begging her, but never knew that he and Lil’ John shared the same idea…he calls it skee skee skee (windows to the walls)…I think I’ll love this song without using it to make a literary comment.
