Okay. I stand corrected.

But did he shrink down to the size of a normal boom-box so he could blend in? Or was he a 20 ft tall red and yellow boom-box? Either way it doesn’t make sense to me.

Such self-righteous indignation concerning an overly commercialized kid show.

You do realise that the Decepticons and Autobots had ‘acclimatized’ themselves to the native environment of planet earth by assuming forms and shapes found therein. Human civilizations were part of this environment, and since the transformers are basically animated chunks of sentient technology, they adapted their outershells to 20th century technology in order to ‘blend’ in, and escape undesired attention from the natives. (in accordance to their cultural ethos and modus operandi)

The intro-song should have cued you in as well, ‘robots in disguise…’.

Hell yeah they were short-sighted! I couldn’t tell you how disappointred I was with the Tranformers movie. They killed off all these characters that I loved and then made all these new ones. What the fuck is that!!!
