i kinda regret this
hnnnnnnnnnnn. poop
when i lived in driving distance from my parents i would visit them a lot. it was a two hour drive and my girl' s parents at the time (jmo, whom i do not date anymore) lived in a stones throw away (sweet oldie phrase) from my p's place. this was random and very true. it was a two minute walk from jmo's folks place to my folk's place. so i would visit even more because of the girlfriend's parents thing.
over the holidays once i decided to buy a 20 dollar plastic santa suit from walmart before i showed up. i walked into my parents house and everyone went nuts. man, i really thought this was gonna be a one time funny joke. hell no.
i thought it was weird when jmo made me go to her house, her grandparents house and i think even jj's parents(a little further from pooping distance but close) house dressed up. but i had a few beers and didn't mind that much. i didn't mind even when jmos' grandfather almost pulled a shotgun on me because he didn't know who i was. merry christmas grandpa.
RANDOM THOUGHT: i taught jmo how to drive. i drove her about three miles out of town and told her to take us back home or we wouldn't get home. she did it. good for her!
i rock as a teacher!
oh yeah. so the next year my mom buys a "nice" santa suit. i would wear it for the relatives and they all laugh and shit. ok, whatever. this will last a few years..................
BUT NOW my sister has two kids. one is 5 years old(tyler). last year he actually called me "ho ho ho" to my face(while not dressed as santa). i hate being santa. i suck at it. i have a few cocktails and entertain the elders as santa but now i REALLY have to be santa to my nephews. fuck.
this year tyler freaked when he saw santa on tv while i was dressed like santa at the same time. his thoughts were probably, " how the heck are you on tv and right here at the same time?". i was on my toes and i told him he was watching a previously recorded tv show. did he understand that? to be honest, did i care?
when santa was leaving i told tyler that santa likes cookies(you know like leaving them over night and leaving carrots for the reindeers). he told me to wait. "WAIT SANTA!". when he ran off i didn't know what the fuck to do.
i looked at my mom and she gave me a "i don't know" look.
tyler came back with a cookie.
i guess i'll still be santa.
