9/11 Conspiracy Theories - Loose Change 2nd Edition

I can’t figure it out. Someone made a feature length documentary covering dozens of alternative hypotheses about the events of September 11, 2001, and the movie’s not even listed on IMDB. Maybe there’s some kind of conspiracy against the filmmakers.
The movie is Loose Change 2nd Edition. You can watch it on Google Video. Among other theories, the film suggests:
- Commercial jets didn’t hit the twin towers. Unmanned US military planes did.
- The towers didn’t fall because of the planes. They fell because of carefully placed demolition charges.
- A plane did not hit the Pentagon. A US cruise missle did.
- Flight 93 didn’t crash in Pennsylvania. It landed safely in Cleveland.
- The cell phone calls from scared passengers were faked.
Believe me, I’m not saying I buy into all of this (or any of it). I don’t typically buy into conspiracy theories anyway, and I won’t accept any of the film’s ideas without further investigation. But it is incredibly interesting and I do hope the case isn’t offically closed regarding September eleventh. In 20, 50, or 100 years, what will the history books say about 9/11? Will the current government endorsed answers continue to be accepted? Will someone investigate the hypotheses brought up in this film? Will any or all of these theories prove to be true?

And I hope you don’t buy into the government’s official explanation just because it’s coming from the government. I think some of the points made in this film should be investigated. I definitely will not say I believe these theories until I see further proof (ie. actual videos of the Pentagon attack which exist but have not been declassified aside from 5 gifs).

JJ, remember Jim Walter Corp. from Tampa? Jim Walter’s kid is spending his inherited fortune to promote that documentary and this theory. W had him on the show. He seems to be the “Arthur” (Dudley Moore) of the family, if you catch my drift.

While I don’t agree with the “something else other than a plane” theory, I do agree that we aren’t being told everything.
But until W is gone, I don’t think we can even start to find out what is going on.
I don’t buy it, then again I’m sure people didn’t buy Watergate when it happened.

I just hope that when the next administration takes office, they don’t continue to let the details remain swept under the rug. At the very least, I’m simply curious to learn the”facts” that are currently classified.

I was extremely skeptical before seeing the movie, and it certainly gave me pause. The Reichstag Fire analogy is looking more and more fitting. I blogged about this flick a while ago, and I’m glad more people are getting to see it.

I don’t buy the “official story”, I buy the photographs of the lawn @ the pentagon… shards of plane wreckage near the crash site. Photographs from the rooftops of nearby buildings near ground zero showing strips of feuselage with passenger windows and curtains. Photos of the huge scar in the ground, scattered with scredded plane parts in PA.
If this was all an “unmanned” conspiracy, they had to silence a TON of people to do so, and that… is impossible.

Hey, I’m with you here. I don’t buy into theories. If I see something happen and someone tells me it didn’t happen, then obviously that’s bullshit. But I think this movie brought up a lot of great points, many of which have never been addressed publicly by the 9/11 Commission.

There’s only one theory that made me go, “Hmmmmm…” and that was the Pentagon one about the missel. The Parking lot cam is what actually got me on that one.
Ok, I just watched it. What’s with the explosions while the WTC”s were collapsing? There is a lot of fishy stuff, but it still doesn’t dismiss the fact of the huge loss of lives.
But I have to admit that this video is hell bent on proving something, and they go a bit overboard.
What’s up with the Sept. 11 posts lately? There seem to be a lot of movies coming out/publicized at the same time (now), and a lot of people writing about it.
What’s to say? It happened, and ofcourse I have an open mind, I don’t know exactly what “it” was. But I was here watching it happen from an office cafeteria window in Soho, and even if the causes were mysterious, the effects were real. People had real emotional reactions to this. Fuck political bullshit - and I mean fuck both sides of it! The only thing that was certain was that everywhere I went in the city that month, people would break down crying on the street, and 20 other people would stop and take care of him/her. That was the only time that people weren’t reacting out of selfish motives.
It is complete and utter bullshit that at least 3 movies are coming out capitalizing on what happened. I see it as the same sort of manipulation that pushed through the PATRIOT Act. People aren’t really all that dumb, let everyone figure out their own feelings for a few years. Fuck!

The Loose Change movie isn’t about conspiracy theories; it’s about evidence. The only reason it’s not on imdb is that it’s an amateur video and I don’t believe imdb lists amateur videos. There is plenty of evidence besides those two movies that something was very off about 9/11. You don’t have to be an engineer to see how the buildings came down, with obvious explosions going off floor by floor.

So true. The one thing this movie has going for it is that it’s free on Google Video. I honestly believe the filmmakers aren’t in ot for the money. As far as the other movies are concerned, that’s clearly not the case. They are wide release Hollywood films that simply tell a story. They’re not on a fact-finding mission.

I admit there’s a negative stigma attached to the term “conspiracy theory.” But the deal is - sometimes there are conspiracies. When you suggest that there might be a conspiracy surrounding an event, you’re voicing a “conspiracy theory.”

I watched part 1 and part 2 of loose change and i think that they did an excellent job of exposing the 9-11 cover up. i have painful deception and a lot more tapes that come at 9-11 in different ways they all seem too agree tht it was an inside job. right after 9-11 i was on the computer for hours resarching what really happened and i realized then that it was definitely a coverup. Busthe NSA CIA FBI MOUSSAD CFR THE ILLUMANATI and THE MILITARY MAINLY THE AIRFORCE WAS IN THIS THING TOGETHER THE MONARCHY AND THEIR PUNS WORKED THEIR MAGIC TOGETHER TOO PULL THIS OFF. The first post I see here is Nunya’s, saying they hope we don’t “buy into this crap”. I want you guys to know this: The GOP plants people in Democratic/liberal/conspiracy type blogs to comment. When they see a blog that they feel threatens the GOP line, or official story or whatever, they send their messengers out to literally post comments that go against what the prevailing concensus is. They have even admitted doing this. They have thousands of people online doing just this thing on blogs like this. Karl Rove himself used to do it using the name “Thor” on various forums and discussion boards. So when someone shows up on your blog and just says “nah, don’t believe it” and then leaves without explaining themselves or debating, it could easily be a GOP operative on your blog. You can sometimes tell them from the regular people because they just strike and leave.
