Time for my second entry in the "Am I Normal?" category. Today's topic: What's the normal age for a person to have their first kiss? How old were you? (Yes I realize this is sugary and innocent. We'll address some dirtier shit another time.)

I had my first real relationship this summer and we kissed but not to fit it but because they actually meant something. And I think I was in love. Is it possible? I don’t understand the pairing of maturity with doing things at a young age. The people who are the most ‘mature’ are the ones who don’t get fucked at 13. The people who are the most mature are the ones who are doing their homework and working jobs, not making out with strange.

I just turned 12 and have kissed 2 girls. Girls seem to like me and I’m not shy at all my girlfriend now really likes me and I really like her, but she is reeeaaallllyyyy shy. I wanna kiss her and I’ve made it clear but I’m a little confused on her feelings toword the idea. Once I asked her if she would kiss me (desperate) and she said yes. Then a couple days later we went to get ice cream and she seemed embarrassed. Idk if I should just wing it or what…. I know that once I get it over with I’ll be relieved and she won’t feel so nervous. I know I’m young but I think that kissing is natural and healthy and therefore there’s nothing wrong with it.

First peck was when I was 5 and I was playing a game on the playground and I told the boy in order the “save me” he had to give me a kiss ( too many disney movies anyone). First real kiss was 5th grade but that was under pressure. Honestly my advixe (coming from a 24 year old) is to honestly just wait for someone you care about. You may feel pressured at the moment to jump into your firsy kiss, but its better to wait until you kiss someone you truly, and by truly I mean someone you’ve been dating for months (if under the age of 16 when “dating refers to adifferent level of commitment) and actually connect with on a emotional and spiritual level, than to just do it because evryone else is. You’ll feel better about It. Its not worth it to rush in or feel pressured into a situation, trust me. Being the odd man out in “sexual” situations will make you feel better about yourself in the end

I’m 13 and i’ve had my first kiss. It was actually really meaningful and with a guy I cared about so for the people who say that’s not possible I KNOW it is. anyways we broke up. @Brock Requirements like this are true in most states, but that doesn’t mean the rules aren’t bent by the teachers and faculty for the sake of the school’s image. Try this out one day for an experiment: swap your homework out with someone else who isn’t on any team… of course, YOU will make the grade, but will the other guy take that chance with your work? I wouldn’t.
