   Kyra and her girlfriend are talking about how some men are assholes, but she’s (Kyra) lucky to be married to such a good and compassionate man; how rare good men are (“they’re hard to find but they are out there”). Her friend talks about her boyfriend. KP asks if her Mom approves; friend says she does but her brother is protective. KP says it’s the other way around in her family – she has to be protective of her brother. Then she talks about how he’s married with two kids, but his wife’s a “control freak”. At this point, friend points out that her mic in on….

   Bwahahaha! I heard one of the local radio stations talking about it this morning. I wonder who gets the axe for this one… really I can only think its Kyra’s fault. Aren’t they in charge of their own mics?

   Anywho, I love the comment about how you can really find out with those “extended visits… tee hee hee”.

   Thanks for the details. You rock! I love that last part when you hear the voice in the background saying “your mic’s on”. Then suddenly the audio goes silent. I can imagine Kyra’s face right at that moment, as red as a monkey’s ass.

   Trouble:
   She does come off as annoying.

   Jessica:
   Yes! What a nightmare. “Please pass the turkey.” “I would pass the turkey to you, but remember I’m such a control freak – I think I’ll wait a few minutes first.”

   Travis:
   You’ve got an ‘in’ at CNN? Fucker.
   Dude, you gotta tell me. In your professional opinion – was it her fault or the sound guy’s fault?

   “So how have you been lately?”
   “Well, as you know my wife’s a total control freak and she hates your fucking guts now. So things aren’t going so great.”

   Mojotek:
   Yeah, radio was all over this today. I heard a Florida jock talking about it on my drive home (I was listening on XM). Kyra is getting so much attention from this, it may actually help her career.

   Excellent point! If the news was this entertaining every day, I’d gladly watch. But sadly, most news coverage is boring and uneventful. That’s why I get all my news from the Colbert Report.

    Hmm, J says it’s either the field producer or the control room’s fault. Either place should’ve caught that glitch about 5 seconds into it. And apparently, with breaking news, anchors are in the habit of keeping their mics on & expecting the sound to be turned off when they’re not on air. They can’t really reach the off button on the battery pack.

    My theory is that Kyra was a huge bitch to the wrong person & that person fucked her over. Zing!

    cnn’s world headquarters are in atlanta… so, it’s not too hard to make friends…

    the sound guy definately has his fair share of blame… but there’s a lot of blame to go around on this… it’s a pretty big operation… i couldn’t get the inside scoop on this one for you… they just shook their head and changed the subject… :p

    hey, were you still in sarasota when one of the reporters mics was on the same frequency as a church’s sound system during a funeral?

    OHHHH so tragic. I think it’s kinda Kyra’s fault.. and kind of the audio guy’s fault. I mean, Kyra shoulda turned off her mic.. but a lot of time anchors don’t turn off their mics because they worry they’ll forget to turn them back on.

    I can only imagine the audio guy either thought it was too funny to turn down.. or perhaps he was in the can himself?!?!?!

    TOo entertaining.. It only woulda been better had Kyra started bashing Bush.. or perhaps started cursing all over the place!!!

    I feel bad for her. That should not have been allowed to go on for that long — but it was a huge improvement over anything W had to say.
