   - alright i feel so much better after reading all these comments i thought i was one of the only ones with this porblem , even though it makes me feel better to know im not im still kind of worried. Here’s the story im 15 and pregnant , my babys dad still doesnt know i have inverted nipples or seen me with out a shirt i dont let him because im to embarrased and scared of what he’ll say. We were talking about breastfeeding and i told him i didnt want to. I really do want to try to breast feed but i told him that because im to nervous to tell him about my inverted nipples. what should i do ? and can i still breastfeed ? help please ! *

   I dont see what the big deal about inverted nipples is! I only just found out today that people think its wierd to have them? With the ammount of comments on here its seems so common! Personally im perfectly fine with mine, ive even had complements on my breasts so clearly guys dont really care about it. I wouldnt go for surgery unless you are finding life really uncomfortable with them.

   I have them and im really scared for people to see them to. Im 16 and i was with a guy for 2 years and he never saw me with a short off. i was to embaressed. I thought he would dump me.    Hey everyone. I was not told that I had inverted nipples till the age of twelve. I had no idea that they were different and come to find out I was born with them…I am engaged to be married, and my fiance knows about them. We have never done anything sexual but I am still afraid to show him. I have looked at pictures of inverted nipples online but mine seem to be quite different….The do come out in the cold but even then they still look different. If you can picture a normal nipple and then the center part being cracked a bit that is what mine look like…..does everyone elses whos poke through look normal or is it just mine?…..

    I have just read every comment on here and it has made me cry…what has society done to us??? I understand how all of you feel..(I too have invert nips) I know how it feels to not want to remove the shirt ..or let anybody see our breast!     @ LalaLand …. i’ve got them too one is worse than the other, one comes out from time to time (funny thing, not when its erected or cold, but just randomly it seems … funny :-/ )well and the other never comes out, but when the one comes out it looks similiar to what you discribed … looks like it has a lot of cracks somehow (i’m not a native english speaker, so i dont really know how to express it better) … so just so you know, your not alone … bye the way, life with them has been really hard. i’m 20 and i havent been able to let guys whom i really like, get close to me, i start panicing when their hands get only close to my breasts or under my shirt. when having sex, most of the time everything i can think of is “omg, please hurry up, so i can get dressed again” … i can understand everyone with those problems perfectly fine

    I have them and to be honest I never until today even had a second thought about them being different or odd. Ive never once during foreplay/sex, changing, standing around shirtless for some random reason.. had anyone make a comment or look strangely at them at all.     In the vast majority of women with inverted nipples- breastfeeding is Not a problem. Plastic surgery in Most cases destroys your ability to breast feed – not to mention damaging the nerves… why worry about having “perfect” nipples if you wont feel and enjoy someone giving them attention?? Sex is NOT only about your partner, if they arent working just as hard as you are to make sure YOU are enjoying it they arent worth your time. The world has challenges enough – your lovely inverted nipples should not be one of them.

    It makes no difference to me and I don’t know another guy who’s ever even mentioned ‘inverted nipples’ or ‘different looking nipples’. Guys don’t notice this kind of stuff – most guys like boobs but it isn’t the nipple that makes any difference. Women are so weird with what they’re bothered by. I mean c’mon, seriously – it’s not like it’s super weird and you don’t have an areola (?? the brown/pink bit?). It’s not even noticeable. Nobody cares. Worry about something that actually matters.

    Ok, a guy here. Don’t beat yourself up over this ladies. Guys like this kind of thing, not all guys want to have the same girl ya know.     I’m really glad I found this post. I am 29 and I have one innie. I’ve spent so much time worrying and being ashamed of it. I have a wonderful boyfriend who isn’t turned off by it in the least, he actually likes it. I want to thank everyone for sharing their stories. I’m almost in tears because as stupid as it sounds, I feel like a weight has been lifted off me. I don’t even know how I allowed myself all of these years to get so worked up over it, it honestly isn’t a big deal. I guess it just seems like there’s more pressure for women to look a certain way. I can say I have not really had any bad experiences with guys from it, I think all of the insecurity surrounding it was all coming from me.     I used the niplette, didn’t really work for me, it just made my nips more sore and swollen. I hate my inverted nipples, when they’re cold they scrunch all up as well, which I hate. I’ve never shown a guy my nipples, but I hope to have the confidence to one day.

    I’m a seventeen year old girl and I just recently realized that my boobs aren’t “normal” in the way that my nipples are inverted…I’ve never given much thought to it, but after researching, my confidence started going down after I read how women were going so far as to getting plastic surgery to have it corrected. There also seem to be alot of girls who let this oddity ruin their relationships and self esteem, so much to where I really thought this condition was a really weird/bad thing. But thanks to all these comments, my confidence has gone right back up to where it was, and any guy who would dare say something about it may just wake up the next morning with no balls.

    ok….here is my views to this…. an ‘inverted nipple carrier’ …. I had them since I was born… I had a very active sexual life and never kept my top or bra on….what is the point….believe me most men wouldn’t say anything because they are scare to ask…. or because they see the girl is selfconfident about them….Maybe I am sometimes more worry in front of women than men! but that is only me…. I’ve been married, also had boyfriends and they never worried about it….Again sometimes I wish I have proper nipples….. considered surgery but also the possible side effects….If you want to have babies and breastfeed, don’t do it, you won’t be able to feed your baby….on the other hand, they need to make sure the inversion actually has some nipple at the back….if you know what I mean….you can without knowing have a flat nipple behind rather than inverted….so you can end up with two different nipples lol…..you loose all the sensitivity too…so think twice….and if the surgery goes wrong you can end up with no nipples at all….If you smoke….even worst….you need to stop smoking before doing the surgery for at least 6 weeks prior to this….the longer the better… Here is something you might want to try (not the piercing stuff, that can also damage your milk ducts….)….It’s called Nippelette from Avent, mums to be and breastfeeding women use them to suck the nipple out so the baby can suck the milk without too much trouble….However, using those regularly can actually correct inverted nipples…..I had tried and it’s working….but you need to give it time….The reason why the nipples are inverted is because the milk duct is shorter so using those regularly for at least 8 hours a day (doing it over night is better but you need to wear a top so they won’t come out….if you fit them properly they stay, some people say they don’t but they do)….the feeling on the morning…from the first morning is you will see what you haven’t seen in your life….nipples!!! lol….they will go back in but if you use the Nippelette regularly they will eventually come out completely….you then only need to top up sometimes so they stay out …..and they look amazing….didn’t know I had such a beauty nipples lol….mines use to come out if someone suck them ahahah…. but there are 3 different levels of inverted nipples, but if I was you girls I will give it a go….it has made a difference…..and I lived with those things all my life!but decided to give it a go…. twice….. the first time I tried this Nippelette I gave up because I was expecting ‘inmediate results’….but then years after, I gave it another chance and it seams like it worked….in just a week, I could see how they stayed out for longer and if I touch them now they don’t go back in….they actually stay out!…. you have to put some cream on to help the suction but once you get the trick they will at least help them to come out…..I suggest if you use them, try to pull your nipple out before you suck….so it will get more from your nipple and not your areola ….. I hope I haven’t use the word ‘suck’ too much…..and guys if the girl have them…..suck them….they will come out to say hello

    Im around that age were most people are having sex or oral sex, but im too scared with my boyfriend because i have inverted niples and i dont really want to be showing them off just incase the boy…will either go telling everyone as if its a bad thing or he wont be interested.     Hi everyone, I also have the same problem had it ever since I was born. I used to hate going swimming at school because when the water was cold everyone could see through my togs and asked why my nipples didn’t stick out. What made it worse is that I have three biological sisters that all have nipples, I also found it hard if I ever saw a magazine with women topless and would be like “wow they have such beautiful breasts why don’t I look like that” I have a wonderful boyfriend who tells me that he thinks I am beautiful and have an amazing body and that there is nothing wrong with me. I used to think oh maybe he should be with someone else who is normal and will turn him on more, but he has had ex’s that have had normal nipples and says there is no difference I was considering getting the operation but after reading everyone’s comments I am not so sure and feel I should be happy continuing to be the young beautiful vibrant woman that I am.     I LOVE inverted nipples. I had a girlfriend early in my life who had inverted nipples. She was very self-conscious about it, but I adored them. There are a couple of reasons why I love them. One is, when a woman who has inverted nipples gets sexually aroused, the nipples pop out. That is VERY sexy to me. My girlfriend would sit on my lap and I would touch her breasts and her nipples popped out and WOW that was exciting. I don’t want to get too graphic, but sucking on them and having them come out in my mouth was very awesome too. Please excuse me if that was too explicit.     When I was in High School I had a girl friend with inverted nipples. She was so nice and sweet to me that it did not matter. Also, similar to some of the previous comments, when she would get aroused her nipples went from from “innies” to “outies”. So, therefore, ladies do not worry. There are guys out there who really want a loving relationship that goes beyond your bra size and whether your nipples are inverted or not. If you find the right guy it will not matter.

    Most of the women I have been with happen to have natural large breasts, and when they are relaxed, it seems to me many have flattish nipples. They become less so when “coaxed” and stimulated. Perhaps just due to exposure, I like larger breasts with good size areolas, and flatish nipples. While we are at it, the slight assymmetry is fine too! I find the second photo above irresistable!

    I have inverted nips and my momma told me she used to have them too. Apparently when she gave birth the nips came out permanently and she was able to breastfeed.
