Well, someone recently arrived at The Churning after Googling “How Often does a Normal Person Masturbate?” And that made me wonder. Am I normal?

I don’t think there is a “normal” amount for masturbation. It varies from person to person and changes as you get older. With over 50 years experience (really!) of jerking off, I consider myself an expert on the subject, a “master of masturbation” if you will but I’m still not sure what is “normal” for this wonderful sport. All I can tell you is that I ain’t blind or crazy yet and at age 66 I’m still doing it with no plans to stop…ever! It was one to three times a day as a teenager, about daily in my twenties and thirties…and then I VERY SLOWLY tapered off to 2 or 3 times a week at present. There was less jerking when I was married or in a relationship of course but I never completely stopped doing it. Am I normal? I don’t know and I don’t care! All I can tell you is that it feels good! As Woody Allen said to Diane Keaton in “Annie Hall”, “Don’t knock masturbation! It’s sex with someone I love!” Truer words were never spoken my friends! Uhhh…what was that question again?
Before when i was single– 7 or 8 a week. Now that Im in a permanent relationship 3-4.
ha… i would not be able to answer that question for you since i am most decidedly not normal… in any way shape or form… and damn it… what’s the deal with all the inverted nipple comments?

For me, it depends on a number of factors. I actually masturbate more if I’m in a relationship because I spend more time walking around turned on. My sex drive is like a switch that can be flipped on or off. If I haven’t been in a relationship in a while, and haven’t been touched, my sex drive just kind of dies down to a low point, where I maybe masturbate once a week. But if I’m dating someone regularly, and having sex at least weekly (it’s hard when you’re a single mom with kids to get it daily), it can be once a day or more.
Every day at least once unless I’m to drunk. But sometimes perhaps up to four times a day if I had great sex the day before and start to remember all the sweet positions we did it in. I like to jerk off a couple hours after having sex, thinking about the sex that I just had. I guess it all averages out to between five and seven times a week. And I consider myself normal.
PS: watch out for soap in the pee hole.

for me it is never the same. sometimes it’ll be 3 times in a week, sometimes not for months. i’ve been having issues with this with my boyfriend though, so this is a nice topic to have as a reference. thanks all!

I think I have a problem then, Im 26 and still have to find time to masturbate between 5 and seven times a day. Yeah, you don’t have a problem bro, I know EXACTLY how you feel. If I’m laying in bed, I’m shooting one off. If I wake up from sleeping, I go shoot one off. While I was off at training one time, I ran off to the porta-johns and shot one off in there three times a day. At home about four to six times a day, but my record was 16 one time when I was sick. well, my bf jerks off close to 14 times a day, and I am ready and wellin g to dropmy pants whenever he wants sex becuz usually I want sex too.
