As good a reason as any I guess…
Our hot water heater stopped working on Saturday. A plumber came out to fix it. It's a new high efficiency unit - and it's under warranty. The dude diagnosed the problem and had to order a part. The part should be here tomorrow.
So this morning after several days without hot water, waking up to a cold shower every day, we joined a gym. They have showers there.

when our water goes out (it’s never just the hot, it’s always ALL THE WATER) or we have a problem with the shower, it’s always for days on end. we go 2 days, then rent a car and tool down to south philly where a friend lives, and take advantage of her shower. then we sulk, and then it’s usually fixed. sometimes i call out of work “smelly”.

I think what you forgot to mention was… not “a” plumber came out to look at it, but THREE plumbers came out to look at it!!! You would think these people have never seen a freaking hot water heater before. What… do we live in the stone age???

It’s nice to have good friends close by that are happy to have you drop in for a shower or a few loads of laundry. Glad you’re up and running again.

Why do you need a hot water heater? Who heats hot water?
